Information about the FOXEL Project
The hardware used by the FOXEL project is licensed under the terms of the CERN Open Hardware License (CERN OHL) license.
The Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA) license is primarily used for the content of the project.
In addition to the common terms of the GNU AGPL v3 and GNU GPL v3 licenses, you are required to:
- preserve legal notices and author attributions in that material or in the Appropriate Legal Notices displayed by works containing it.
- attribute the work as explained in the Usage and Attribution section below.
Usage and Attribution
If you redistribute any source code of the FOXEL project, modified or not, you must preserve legal notices and author attributions as provided by the work you are using.
Of course, you have to respect the license of the initial work. Look at the LICENSE and COPYRIGHT.md text files provided with the project.
Service Resulting from the Code and/or Content
Our required attribution notice is
"Based on the work of the FOXEL project".
You must ensure the attribution notice links to http://foxel.ch. If you are on a medium that does not support hyperlinks, you must append the URL at the end of the attribution notice.
This credit needs to appear in a place reasonable to the medium you are utilizing, ideally right after your own copyright information (if you have one). In other words, you should make it always visible without any user interaction and clearly readable.
Licensing Note About the Website
The content of the website is licensed under the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, except third-party logos and the 14 images displayed in grid on the homepage.
