FOXEL masters the entire development chain, from the conceptualization and design of electronic systems and measurement tools to the development of specific software.

Our innovation policy distinguishes between technology (science) and its applications (products). This approach significantly strengthens our links with scientific communities, research centers and academic networks. Ongoing training and constant watch on technological advances are part of our priorities.

Camera Elphel Eyesis 4π

Elphel Eyesis 4π is a high-resolution full-sphere panoramic and stereophotogrammetric camera, calibrated to compensate for optical aberrations allowing to preserve full sensor resolution over the camera field of view.

Distortion calibration is performed for precise pixel-mapping to automatically stitch images into panoramas, and also for photogrammetry and 3D reconstruction.

[1] Megapixels of 2 additional lenses are not included in total panoramic image size.
[2] Angular resolution per pixel differs in the sub-camera field of view, minimal resolution is used.
[3] Additional pair of sub-cameras mounted one meter below the main 24 sensors. These camera images may be used to measure distances to some objects (not the full-sphere), and then this data can be used to improve precision of the IMU-based measurements of the camera egomotion.
